Free Online Checklist Maker
A checklist maker with no signup wall and no learning curve. Type a name (or don’t), hit Create List, and start checking things off — then share the link so others can collaborate. Daily routines, project tasks, event prep: if it needs doing, it belongs on an Online Lists Maker checklist.
How it works
- Create — Name your checklist (optional) and press Create List. It exists in seconds.
- Add — Type items one by one, or paste a whole list and watch it split into items automatically.
- Organize — Drag to reorder, group items with categories, add quantities and notes where they help.
- Share & finish — Send the link to collaborators; check items off as you go. Export or print when you’re done.
Make it work harder
- Paste, don’t type. Already have the items in an email, doc, or message? Paste the whole block — each line becomes its own checklist item.
- Categories turn a long list into a plan. Group a project checklist by phase, a cleaning checklist by room, an event checklist by week — groups make 30 items scannable.
- Clear completed and keep the structure. For recurring checklists (weekly cleaning, daily shutdown), clear the checked items when done and the list is ready for next time.
- Keyboard-first is fastest. Enter adds, arrow keys navigate, Alt+Arrow reorders — you can build a 20-item checklist without touching the mouse.
- Share view-only for accountability. Send stakeholders the view-only link: they watch progress in real time without being able to change anything.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign up to make a checklist?
No. Everything — creating, editing, sharing, exporting — works without an account.
Is there a limit to how many items a checklist can have?
Lists support up to 2,000 items, which covers everything from a grocery run to a full project plan.
Can I use this as a daily to-do list?
Yes. Many people keep one recurring checklist and clear completed items each day. Your “Your Lists” panel keeps it one tap away on that device.
How is this different from a notes app checklist?
Three things: no account needed, real multi-person collaboration with permissioned links, and one-click export/print. Notes apps checklists are single-player by default — Online Lists Maker lists are shareable by default.
Can I print my checklist?
Yes — the print view from the list menu gives you a clean paper copy, and TXT/CSV export covers everything else.
What if I accidentally delete something?
Undo is one tap away for 10 seconds after a delete, and clearing completed items can be undone the same way.
